LATE SEASON BLOOM
Wisconsin, 1875. An old variety, hardy and long lived. Best known for its large size - up to 5" diameter fruit! Pale yellow-green skin mostly covered with pink, deep red and bright crimson. Creamy white coarse firm flesh. Flavor is very good for cooking. Makes an excellent baked apple and pies. Not much good for fresh eating, but particularly tasty when dried. Primarily used as a cooking apple.
